| | | | | | "Step back in time to a turn of the century hunting and fishing lodge where the people are friendly and the pace is slow enough to enjoy every minute..." | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Welcome to Fish Point Lodge on the web! First, an introduction to the unique bit of real estate we are fortunate enough to reside in...Fish Point. It is a small peninsula on the southeast corner of Saginaw Bay. We sit nestled between the Bay and the Fish Point Wildlife Refuge which consists of one square mile designated as a safe haven for migratory waterfowl. Spring brings the return of thousands of ducks, geese and swans from their wintering grounds to the south. In late April and early May, it is not unusual to have paired geese proudly parading their young across the road leading to Fish Point. The area hosts an array of wildlife consisting of waterfowl, mink, muskrat, turkey, pheasant and whitetail deer among others. Bald eagles and a variety of hawks are seasonal residents. We offer a range of services for the vacationer and sportsperson. Lodging, rental cabins and RV sites are available. In spring and summer, Saginaw Bay is a magnet for anglers seeking to target walleye, perch, bass and catfish among others. As a licensed charter captain, Doug offers affordable hands-on fishing charters. The fall turns our attention to duck and goose hunting as tens of thousands of waterfowl pass through on their migration south to their wintering grounds. The arrival of winter brings fishing back to the forefront as we hit the ice on the Bay. Winter fishing charters are offered from January until early March in most years, depending on the weather and ice conditions. We are truly blessed to be here...and our goal is to share this area's bounty with you. Come to Fish Point Lodge - take 'the road less traveled' and you will find a welcome mat here just waiting for you! | | | | | | | | The 7th Annual FPL Walleye Tournament & Funfest is July 11 Click here for more info | |
